Rules

1.   Title
Romsey Allotment Holders Association.

2.   Objects
      a.   The promotion of the interest of Allotment Holders who comprise the membership of the Association.
      b.   The good management of the allotments at Southampton Road.

3.   Membership
The Association shall consist of Allotment Holders and any other whose application have been approved by the Management Committee.

4.   Subscriptions
Members will pay an Annual Subscription for Membership of the Association. The amount will be decided at the Annual General Meeting.

5.   Management
The affairs of the Association shall be conducted by a Management Committee which shall consist of at least Nine Members.

6.   Annual General Meeting
The Annual general Meeting shall be held in October.

7.   Special General Meeting
Shall be held at such times as the Management Committee decide or on written request of Fifteen Members of the Association. Fourteen days notice of any such meeting will be given to all members and Twenty Five Members will form a quorum.

8.   Alteration of Rules
No Rule may be altered except at the Annual General Meeting or at a Special General Meeting of the Association. Two weeks notice to be given.

9.   Rental of Allotments
      a.   Rent day will be notified to all members. Rents should be paid on that day. If payment for any plot is not received within one month after rent day, the plot(s) will be considered vacant and be re-let, if possible.
      b.   Rent payable per plot will be determined at the Annual General Meeting.
      c.    The tenant who does not cultivate his plot or plots may be given one month’s notice to do so, otherwise the plot or plots will be recovered by the Association and re-let.
      d.   SUB-LETTING.  No tenant may sub-let part or all of his plot(s).
      e.   BONFIRES.   No tenant may burn any article other than wood or garden waste on any plot.
      f.    ROADWAYS.   These should be kept clear from obstructions and vehicles should be so parked as to allow other tenants access to their plots.
      g.   VISITORS.   Any Visitors to the allotments may be asked to produce some form of authorisation before they remove any produce.

10.  Any matters not covered in these Rules shall be decided by the Management Committee whose decision shall be final.
